Ministère des Affaires culturelles: Heritage Site – 1984
Since 1984, the Capitole has been designated a heritage site by Quebec’s cultural affairs ministry so the historic building enjoys exception protection. Any intervention, be it restoration or transformation, has to be approved by the ministry, thus guaranteeing the preservation of its timeless charm for generations to come.
